New Apple iPhone 14 schematic confirms notchless design

A newly leaked schematic of the upcoming Apple iPhone 14 confirms that the notch will be dropped for a pill shaped cutout and a round cutout, featuring the Face ID camera and ambient sensors.

We previously reported on leaked manufacturing tools that showed the new notchless design. Although the new leak confirms this new design, it also appears larger than previously thought.

However, the notch will only disappear for the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. The regular Apple iPhone 14 will still have a notch design, albeit slightly smaller, according to recent reports.

Despite being several months from release in September, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro has already entered trial production. It’s unlikely such an important design aspect of the phone will change, with only minor tweaks and fixes being applied until the finalised model.

The leaks were confirmed by tech YouTube Jon Prosser, who said he has been able to independently verify the leaked schematics.

The Apple iPhone 14 is expected to be released in September, with the latest Apple A16 Bionic chip. There are also several conflicting reports that say the camera bump will be completely removed for the first time in 9 years since the Apple iPhone 5s, or at least will be significantly reduced in size.
