Famous tipster OnLeaks has revealed the upcoming budget Samsung Galaxy A23 2022 in all its glory.

Despite the A series being aimed at the budget market, it appears Samsung hasn’t made too many significant cuts compared to its more premium lineup of phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S22.

The front of the phone is equipped with a large 6.4 inch IPS LCD display, with a small teardrop notch at the top for the 13 MP selfie camera and ambient sensors. Impressively at this price, we can expect an on-screen fingerprint sensor placed near the bottom of the panel.

  • 6.4-inch IPS LCD panel with teardrop notch
  • Fingerprint sensor behind panel
  • Quad camera setup
  • MediaTek Dimensity 700 MT6833 processor
  • 5G support with dual SIM card slots
  • 167.2 x 76.4 x 9mm dimensions
  • 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage
  • 5000 mAh battery
  • USB Type C port with 18W Quick Charging

The rear features a generous array of 4 cameras, with a 50 MP wide lens, 8 MP ultrawide lens, 2 MP macro lens and 2 MP depth lens.

Performance wise, Samsung have decided to use the mid-range Dimensity 700 MT6833 from MediaTek, rather than their own proprietary Exynos chip. We can also expect 6GB RAM, which is a similar amount of memory equipped with more premium Android smartphones.

Despite adding a USB Type C port, the leaked renders appear to show a 3.5mm headphone jack - which is always a welcome surprise, especially in 2022.

Similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A22, Samsung have managed to squeeze in 5G support, which will make the A23 one of the cheapest 5G phones when it launches.

Samsung appears to be unifying a distinctive design with its budget lineup, with an appearance similar to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A53.

The Samsung Galaxy A23 is expected to launch on 31 March for around £200.
