The Moto G62 is a solid mid-range phone, featuring an impressive triple 50 MP camera and large 5000 mAh battery for 2 days battery life.
Despite the simple appearance, the Moto G62 is feature packed, with a powerful Snapdragon 480+ 5G chip on board. There’s even a 3.5mm headphone jack, alongside a USB-C port for fast charging.
Display
The Moto G62 5G has a display that Motrola describes as ‘easy on the eyes’. The ultrafast 120 Hz refresh rate is one of the fastest you can get on a smartphone right now, for super smooth scrolling and gaming performance.
With a large 6.5 inch display with ultrawide format, the Moto G62 is the perfect phone for watching the latest films and TV shows.
Coupled with a huge Full HD+ resolution, images and videos appear crispy and sharp, with plenty of vibrancy and detail.
Performance
Motorola promises next-gen performance with the Moto G62, thanks to the snappy Snapdragon 480+ 5G chip, coupled with 4GB RAM for all your multitasking needs.
As a mid-range processor, the Snapdragon 480+ can perform well with all the latest games and apps, with good multitasking performance for most people.
Despite the high resolution display and refresh rate, the CPU is more than capable of keeping up, even under intense workloads.
Camera
Despite the mid-range price, Motorola have gone all out with photography, featuring a huge triple 50 MP camera that delivers Quad Pixel technology for significantly better low light performance, with much of the detail retained in night shots.
Alongside the Quad Pixel camera, there’s an ultrawide camera for great landscape and group shots, with a macro vision camera for close up shots with all the detail.
You can even take photos using the selfie camera and rear cameras at the same time, for multiple perspectives at once.
Operating System
The Moto G62 ships with the latest version of Android 12, which is coupled with various enhancements and software upgrades from Motorola, which are specifically tailored for the Moto G62.
Design
One of the main selling points for the Moto G62 is its excellent sound quality, with premium built in speakers. The dual stereo speakers are placed at both ends of the phones, with Dolby Atmos technology for multidimensional sound.
The overall design of the Moto G62 follows a similar aesthetic from Motorola’s other mid-range phones. There are minimal bezels around the front, however the lower chip bezel is slightly larger and unsymmetrical, which might be an eyesore for some.
There’s no notch, with the G62 instead opting for a round cutout for the selfie camera and sensors. It’s rather small, and not obtrusive at all.
The rear comes in either a Midnight Grey or Frosted Blue colour, both of which have a glossy, reflective look on the back, which looks premium and pleasant to hold.
Battery life
With a massive 5000 mAh, Motorola promises over a day’s worth of average usage with the Moto G62.
Unfortunately, there’s no wireless charging, however there is 15W fast charging via the USB-C port. You’ll also get a powerful USB-C charger in the box to take advantage of the fast charging capabilities.
Colours
The Moto G62 5G comes in 2 glossy colours:
- Midnight Grey
- Frosted Blue
