Google Pixel 6 updates are causing various problems

Despite being a relatively new phone, Google have had to push numerous updates to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners, who have been plagued by bugs and various performance issues since its release.

The latest Android February release appears to have partially broken Wi-Fi for many Pixel 6 owners, with continuous disconnects and connectivity issues, according to various reports on reddit and Twitter.

Some owners have also found they must disable Bluetooth for Wi-Fi to work, and vice versa.

Users who have contacted Google have been asked to try and factory reset their phone - however this doesn’t appear to remedy the situation, causing further frustration.

It’s not clear what is exactly causing these issues, however it does appear software related rather than hardware related. It’s possible Google is still ironing out the bugs with their Tensor chip - the first proprietary smartphone chip from the search giant.

However, despite its temporary kinks, we still regard the Google Pixel 6 as one of the best Android phones you can buy today. We expect Google to push another fix in the coming days - hopefully without introducing any further bugs.
