However, if your plan has a data allowance greater than 5GB, you cannot use more than 5GB of your allowance when roaming in the EU. If you go over this limit, you will be charged 10p / MB.

Asda Mobile EU roaming - after Brexit

Currently, Asda Mobile do not have any plans to introduce EU roaming charges, despite Britain leaving the EU.

If you have a bundle, you can use your regular allowance up to the 5GB fair usage policy. If you go over your allowance, or the 5GB fair usage policy, you'll be charged 10p / MB. There are no limits on calls or texts.

If you’re on pay as you go, you'll only need to pay the standard UK rate when roaming in the EU, which is currently 10p per MB, 10p per text and 15p per minute.

Does Asda Mobile have a fair usage policy when roaming in the EU?

If you’re roaming in the EU with Asda Mobile, you must adhere to the fair usage policy.

If your plan has a data allowance greater than 5GB, you cannot use more than 5GB per month when roaming in the EU. If you exceed this limit, you will be charged 10p / MB until your plan renews in the following month.

You will receive a text notification when you reach 80% of this limit.

Furthermore, you must be considered a UK resident. If you are outside the UK for the majority over a 4 month period, Asda Mobile may think you are no longer a UK resident. You may be asked to provide evidence, such as a recent bill, in order to prove you are still a UK resident.

If you continue to break the fair usage policy, Asda Mobile may begin charging you 10p per MB, minute and text.

Can I roam outside the EU with Asda Mobile?

You can roam in most countries outside the EU with Asda Mobile.

However, you won’t be able to use your regular allowance. Instead, you will be charged at an out of plan rate. These rates can vary depending on the country you are visiting. The table below shows the roaming rates for popular destinations.
