Least affordable: Nigeria

A Nigerian citizen needs to spend 69.12% of their yearly salary to purchase the base model iPhone 14 128GB.

Despite a comparable median salary to India, iPhone 14 deals starts at a whopping $1,571.57, making Nigeria the least affordable and 3rd most expensive country in the world. The high cost is mainly due to costly import fees and various logistic challenges in the West African country.

Most affordable: Luxembourg

Coupled with a relatively low tax rate and the highest median salary in the world, it’s no surprise that Luxembourg is the most affordable country for an iPhone 14, with the average citizen only needing to spend 1.61% of their yearly salary to purchase the base model iPhone 14 128GB.

Priced at $985.22, this makes Luxembourg the 16th least expensive country for an iPhone 14 - just behind the UK in 15th place at $976.48.

Most expensive and largest price increase: Turkey

With raging inflation and a rapidly declining lira, Turkey is the most expensive country in the world to purchase an iPhone 14.

Priced at $1,699.80, a Turkish citizen needs to spend 26.47% of their yearly salary to purchase the base model iPhone 14.

In addition to being the most expensive country, the iPhone 14 in Turkey has seen the largest change in price at a staggering 158.35% increase - from 11,999 lira for the iPhone 13 128GB (at launch), to 30,999 lira for the iPhone 14 128GB.

Least expensive: Japan, China and USA

Despite a 20.04% increase in price, Japan remains the cheapest country to purchase an iPhone 14, with the base model starting from $831.43.

China follows in second place at $862.22, with the USA in third at $881.64. Both countries have not seen a price increase from the iPhone 13.

No price increase in 8 countries

Compared to the iPhone 13, the iPhone 14 has increased in price in nearly all countries, ranging from 1.32% (Saudi Arabia) to 158.35% (Turkey).
